With a precleaner fitted: LPAC element every 50 hours, high-performance element every 75 hours, PRO performance element every 100 hours. Service more often under severe, dusty or dirty conditions.
Every 100 hoursEngine Oil & FilterEvery 100 hours. Kohler authorizes a 300 hour interval ONLY when using both KOHLER PRO 10W-50 Synthetic Oil and a KOHLER PRO Extended Life Oil Filter; with any other oil or filter the interval is 100 hours. Oil must be API service class SJ or higher - 5W-30, 10W-30, SAE 30 or PRO 10W-50 by air temperature. Capacity 1.9 L (2.0 U.S. qt). Change more often under severe, dusty or dirty conditions.
Every 100 hoursFuel FilterReplace every 100 hours. Kohler also lists a 100 hour check that all fasteners are in place and components are properly secured.
Every 100 hoursCooling SystemEvery 100 hours: remove the cooling shrouds and clean the cooling areas. Do this more often under severe, dusty or dirty conditions - a blocked cooling fin area is the usual cause of an air-cooled engine running hot.
Every 500 hoursValve ClearanceHave the valve lash checked and adjusted every 500 hours. Kohler marks this as a job for an authorized dealer.
Every 500 hoursSpark PlugReplace the spark plugs and set the gap every 500 hours. Gap 0.030 in. (0.76 mm). The KT715 maintenance kit lists spark plugs 25 132 23 (two required) and oil filter 52 050 02. Torque the plug to 20 ft-lb (27 N-m).
