What Honda B7 includes
- Replace engine oil and filter (the B): The core of every B service. Honda specifies 0W-20 full synthetic on most modern models, sized by engine capacity.
- Full inspection (also the B): Brakes front and rear, suspension, steering ends, fluid levels, driveshaft boots, fuel lines and exhaust - a visual and functional check, not a replacement unless something fails.
- Replace brake fluid (the 7): Bled and refilled with fresh DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid. Moisture absorbed over the fluid's life lowers its boiling point, which is why this runs on a roughly 3-year clock rather than a mileage one.
B7 pairs the larger of Honda's two oil services with brake fluid. B means replace the engine oil and oil filter, plus a full mechanical inspection - brakes, suspension, steering, fluid levels, driveshaft boots, exhaust. 7 means replace the brake fluid. That is the whole code: no tire rotation, no air or cabin filters, even though B often shows up alongside those.
