What Honda A7 includes
- Replace engine oil (the A): 0W-20 full synthetic on most modern Hondas. The oil life monitor tracked real driving conditions and called this one done - nothing to do with the brake fluid clock running alongside it.
- Reset the oil life monitor: Reset to 100 percent after the oil is changed, same as any A service. This does not reset the brake fluid interval - that is tracked separately.
- Replace brake fluid (the 7): The system is bled and refilled with fresh DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid (check your reservoir cap). Old fluid absorbs moisture, which lowers its boiling point - the fluid that felt fine yesterday can vapor-lock under hard, repeated braking before it fails outright.
A7 looks like an odd pairing the first time you see it. A means change the engine oil - nothing else, no filter, no rotation. 7 means replace the brake fluid. Two services that have nothing to do with each other mechanically, shown together because their clocks happened to run out at the same time.
