When to replace each part - Ford Expedition 2025-2026

The schedule above is organized by mileage. This is the same information organized by part, for when you already know what you are replacing and just need the interval.

Engine oil & filterSet by the Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor, not by a fixed mileage. Ford states a ceiling of one year or 10,000 mi (16,000 km), and to change within two weeks or 500 mi (800 km) of the OIL CHANGE REQUIRED message. If the monitor resets prematurely or stops working, Ford's own fallback is six months or 5,000 mi (8,000 km). Severe-duty use (dusty or sandy roads) drops it to a flat 5,000 mi (8,000 km).
Transmission fluidEvery 150,000 mi (240,000 km): change the automatic transmission fluid. Ford lists no separate severe-duty transmission interval - towing, extensive idling, dusty roads and off-road use bring the transfer case fluid and spark plugs forward to 60,000 mi, not the transmission fluid
CoolantInitial change at 10 years or 200,000 mi (320,000 km), then every 5 years or 100,000 mi (160,000 km) - per the 2019 and 2022 manuals
Spark plugsEvery 100,000 mi (160,000 km) normal duty; every 60,000 mi (96,000 km) when towing regularly or under extensive idling / heavy commercial use
Engine air filterEvery 30,000 mi (48,000 km). Under dusty or sandy operation, or heavy commercial idling, Ford drops this to "inspect frequently, service as required" with no fixed interval.
Cabin air filterEvery 20,000 mi (32,000 km), and "inspect frequently, service as required" under dusty, sandy or heavy-idling use
BrakesInspect pads, rotors, hoses and the parking brake at every oil change interval
TiresRotate, inspect for wear and measure tread depth at every oil change interval; every 5,000 mi (8,000 km) under dusty or sandy operation
BatteryCheck the connections every six months and clean if necessary
