We collect the following categories of information:

email address when you register or sign in.

make, model, year, mileage, VIN (optional), and service history that you enter into the app.

dates, tasks, costs, and notes you log for each vehicle.

Usage and analytics data:

pages visited, session duration, browser type, and device information collected automatically via Google Analytics 4 (GA4).

small text files placed by our analytics and authentication providers (see section 6).

billing details processed directly by Stripe - we never store your card number on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Generate and display personalized vehicle maintenance schedules.

Send service reminders and transactional emails via Resend (e.g., upcoming oil change alerts, account confirmation).

Process subscription payments and manage billing through Stripe.

Authenticate your account and keep your data secure via Supabase Auth.

Understand how the site is used so we can improve it (using aggregated, anonymized GA4 data).

Respond to support requests you send to us.

sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the site. Each has its own privacy policy:

Provides our database and authentication infrastructure. Your account data and vehicle records are stored in Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL.

Sends transactional emails including service reminders, account confirmations, and password resets. Your email address is passed to Resend solely for delivery purposes.

Handles all payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure form and are never transmitted to our servers.

Collects anonymized usage data (page views, session duration, traffic sources) to help us understand site performance. IP addresses are anonymized by default.

Some blog posts and product recommendation pages contain affiliate links to Amazon. When you click these links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you (see section 7 for full disclosure).

ServiceSageAuto is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we may also notify registered users by email. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
